1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, information from your use of the service, and limited technical information necessary to operate TradeFlow Journal.

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address, username, and an encrypted password. We never store passwords in plain text.

Trade Data

All trade journal entries, notes, tags, screenshots, and performance data you log are stored encrypted at rest. This data belongs to you. We do not sell it, share it with third parties, or use it to train AI models beyond features explicitly provided to you within TradeFlow.

Usage Data

We collect anonymised usage telemetry (e.g. which features are used, session duration) to improve the product. This data is aggregated and cannot be linked back to individual users.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information solely to: provide and improve the TradeFlow Journal service; send you transactional emails (receipts, password resets); send optional product update emails (you may unsubscribe at any time); and comply with legal obligations.

We never sell your personal data. We never use your trade journal data for advertising. We never share your data with data brokers.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on servers located in the United States (AWS us-east-1). All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). We perform daily encrypted backups retained for 30 days.

4. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we permanently delete all associated data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to: access all data we hold about you; export your complete trade history in CSV format at any time; request deletion of your account and all associated data; and opt out of non-essential communications.

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@tradeflowjournal.com.

6. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication and session management. We use no advertising cookies. For more details, see our Cookie Policy.
